they gave us clean and tasteful double room with very comfy bed. a laptop-size safe, a mini bar, and a work desk where available here too. we thoroughly enjoyed a marvellous location just next door to the laguna and the center, and the beach & parties. the stuff helped us with taxi.

Casa Chukum is a haven for foodies! The breakfast menu is a treasure trove of Mexican and American favorites that set me up for the day. Don't miss out on the refreshing boat ride with Captain George. It's the ultimate way to experience Bacalar. Plus, the staff are warm!
I would've loved if they had milk for coffee, but a quick run to the corner store fixed that for just a buck. The street parking can be a bit quirky, but we found spots without a hitch-nothing that dimmed the experience here!

Great choice for trip. Pretty and little hotel in a very central location. Location near Bacalar downtown in minutes, many good restaurants, and the centre, the lagoon and the activities. Also, near the Laguna. Rooms were tasteful and bed was exceptionally comfortable, staff were kind! Exceptional service and great value.

The lagoon served as the main attraction, offering fine views and a great escape from the usual hustle. The layout of the hotel provided a cozy feel.
The pool area didn't look well-maintained, and we opted to skip it altogether due to cleanliness concerns. Noise from nearby bars persisted late into the night, particularly on weekend nights, disrupting sleep. The fridge in the room was quite loud, further impacting our comfort. The outdated room condition left much to be desired, with issues like a poorly designed bathroom and damp environments.

Perfect retreat for chill vibes
We had such a relaxing stay! The outdoor garden is just gorgeous and perfect for lounging around. The super nice team, and I loved the breakfast options, so many yummy choices for just 150 pesos. The only bummer was the parking can get tight during busy times but still not a deal breaker for us.

great stay with a few minor hiccups
The staff's friendliness, and they were always willing to assist. Our room had an amazing garden view that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The location was ideal, close to both the lake and the center without requiring any transportation.
The parking situation was a bit tricky at times.

The personal approach of the staff was very nice, providing genuine hospitality throughout the stay. The garden setup created a peace all around to unwind, and the breakfast selection with a variety of hot options was a good way to start each day. Parking was challenging at peak times, and the noise from nearby bars disrupted some evenings. The pool area could benefit from better maintenance to enhance the overall experience.
